Leads Not Importing

If leads aren't importing as expected, here are common causes:

ICP Blocking

The most common reason. Leads are blocked if they don't match your ICP:

  • Check the import summary for "blocked" count
  • Review your ICP configuration in Settings
  • Look for specific block reasons (blockedtld, lowdomain_quality, etc.)

Domain Exclusions

Your admin may have blocked certain domains:

  • Check Settings > Domain Exclusions
  • Social media and listing sites are blocked by default
  • Government (.gov) and education (.edu) sites are blocked

Duplicate Detection

If a lead already exists, it won't import again:

  • Check if the company exists in your Leads list
  • Duplicates are detected by domain and fuzzy name match

Data Quality Issues

Leads with invalid data are blocked:

  • Company names under 3 characters
  • Invalid or missing domains
  • Test/example/demo company names

Solutions

  1. Review import summary for specific block reasons
  2. Adjust ICP settings if too restrictive
  3. Check domain exclusion list
  4. Ensure CSV data is properly formatted
