ICP stands for Ideal Customer Profile. It's a set of criteria that defines what makes a lead valuable for your business.

When you import leads, they're evaluated against your ICP. Leads that don't match are blocked by default to keep your database clean and save resources.

Why Blocking is Good

  • Prevents database pollution with irrelevant leads
  • Saves enrichment credits (you only pay for quality leads)
  • Improves call queue efficiency
  • Focuses your team on high-value prospects

How to Configure Your ICP

Go to Settings > ICP Configuration to define:

  • Target industries
  • Geographic preferences
  • Company size requirements
  • Keywords to include/exclude

What If I Want to Import a Blocked Lead?

Admins can override the ICP gate for specific leads. Contact your administrator or use the force-import option if available.

Score Band and AI Priority are two complementary ways to prioritize leads.

Score Band (A/B/C/D)

Based on how well a lead matches your ICP criteria:

  • A Band (80-100): Excellent match to your ICP
  • B Band (60-79): Good match
  • C Band (40-59): Moderate match
  • D Band (0-39): Poor match

Score bands are calculated based on your ICP configuration settings.

AI Priority (Hot/Warm/Cold)

Based on behavioral signals and intent indicators:

  • Hot: Strong buying signals detected
  • Warm: Some positive indicators
  • Cold: No clear buying signals

AI Priority uses machine learning to identify leads showing purchase intent.

Which Should I Use?

Use both! The best leads are typically:

  • A-Band + Hot = Top priority
  • B-Band + Hot = Second priority
  • A-Band + Warm = Third priority

The call queue automatically combines these for optimal ordering.

Not all companies will have contact information available. Here's why:

Common Reasons

  1. Website doesn't list contacts: Some companies don't publish contact info on their site
  2. Contact extraction failed: The website structure may prevent extraction
  3. Not yet enriched: The lead hasn't been through the enrichment process
  4. Protected information: Some sites block automated extraction

What You Can Do

  1. Queue for enrichment: Go to AI Enrichment and add the lead to the queue
  2. Manual lookup: Use LinkedIn, company directories, or call the main line
  3. Check phone number: Even without email, the phone number from Maps data may work
  4. Use data providers: Consider external data enrichment services

Checking Enrichment Status

Go to the company detail page to see:

  • Enrichment status
  • Last enrichment attempt
  • Any errors encountered

LeadEi automatically prevents duplicate companies from being added to your database.

How It Works

We check for duplicates using:

  1. Exact domain match: Same website domain
  2. Normalized domain match: Handles www vs non-www, trailing slashes
  3. Fuzzy name matching: Catches similar company names
  4. Cross-tenant isolation: Your duplicates don't affect other tenants

What Happens When a Duplicate is Found?

  • The duplicate is not imported
  • The existing record is preserved
  • You see a "duplicate" count in import results
  • No credits or quotas are consumed

Managing Duplicates

If you suspect false duplicates:

  1. Go to Admin > Duplicates
  2. Review potential duplicate pairs
  3. Merge or dismiss as needed

Best Practices

  • Use consistent company naming
  • Ensure website domains are accurate
  • Review the duplicates queue periodically

Tile scraping is a systematic approach to discovering leads across geographic areas.

How It Works

  1. Geographic areas are divided into "tiles" (typically county seats)
  2. Each tile is scraped systematically
  3. Results are deduplicated and scored
  4. Coverage is tracked on a heatmap

Why Tiles?

  • Complete coverage: Don't miss any area
  • Organized approach: Track what's been searched
  • Efficient: No redundant searches
  • Progress tracking: See exactly where you've covered

Coverage Heatmap

The coverage page shows:

  • Green: Fully scraped areas
  • Yellow: Partially covered
  • Gray: Not yet started

Jobs Quota

Counts enrichment jobs queued: - Each company sent for enrichment = 1 job - Failed jobs may be retried (counts again)

Pages Quota

Counts web pages scraped: - Website content extraction - Contact discovery - Signal detection

Searches Quota

Counts API searches: - Maps searches - Web searches - Tile scraping queries

Checking Your Usage

View current usage in:

  • Dashboard: Usage widget shows daily consumption
  • Settings > Usage & Billing: Detailed breakdown

What Doesn't Count

  • Viewing leads in your database
  • Filtering and searching your data
  • Exporting to CSV or CRM
  • Accessing the Call Queue

CSV Export

  1. Go to Leads page
  2. Apply filters to select leads
  3. Click Export button
  4. Choose CSV format
  5. Download the file

Salesforce Export

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Connect your Salesforce account
  3. Map fields as needed
  4. Use Export > Salesforce on leads page

HubSpot Export

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Connect your HubSpot account
  3. Configure field mapping
  4. Use Export > HubSpot on leads page

Google Sheets Export

  1. Connect your Google account in Settings
  2. Select or create a spreadsheet
  3. Export directly to Sheets

Export History

View past exports in Exports page:

  • Export date and time
  • Number of records
  • Export status
  • Download link (for CSV)

We take data privacy seriously. Here's how to manage data deletion:

Deleting Individual Leads

  1. Go to the lead's detail page
  2. Click Delete button
  3. Confirm the deletion

Note: This action cannot be undone.

Bulk Deletion

Contact your administrator for bulk deletion requests.

Data Privacy Requests

For GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy-related requests:

  1. Email support@leadei.com
  2. Include your account details
  3. Specify the type of request
  4. We'll respond within 30 days

What Gets Deleted

When you delete a lead:

  • Company information
  • Associated contacts
  • Notes and call history
  • Enrichment data

Data Retention

We retain deleted data in backups for 30 days for recovery purposes, after which it's permanently removed.
